Free Online Prostate Cancer/ED Support Groups

Life after Prostate Treatment can feel very lonely at times. Talking and hearing stories from others can help.

Here are some free online forums/support groups to try out.

Note: I have no association or affiliation with these groups, they are suggestions given by men with Prostate Cancer.

1. Ancan : International online peer-to-peer support groups for different cancer treatment types and age brackets.

2. YANA (You are not alone) : Prostate cancer support website.

3. The Reluctant Brotherhood : ‘The Inner Conversations Call’ is a Zoom call for the men living with cancer, it has been conducted every week for more than ten years.

“We deal specifically with the unmeasurable things, what is going on in our hearts and minds as we trundle through this nasty journey of prostate cancer. We spend a little time with technical things like numbers, procedures, medications, outcomes, etc. Mostly we talk about what is going on inside. Our conversations are sometimes deadly serious, tears and anger are welcome here. Sometimes we talk about our shadows. There is always time for good laughter because we tease each other a lot and tell bad jokes.”

4. Prostate Cancer UK Forum : An online forum with a section dedicated to sex and relationships.

5. FrankTalk : Erectile Dysfunction support site (not prostate cancer specific).

6. PCFA Australia : Online forum for Australians.

7. Us Too : International support group for people with Prostate Cancer online called ‘Inspire’.

8. Facebook Groups: search Facebook with ‘prostate cancer’ and your location, there may be a private group you can request to join. For example, there’s one for people in Australia, and one for the partners of people with Prostate Cancer in Australia. There is also a group dedicated to Gay, Bisexual Men and Transgender Women.

9. Sex, Love & Prostate Cancer is a Facebook group that gets a special mention, the focus is just on sex and intimacy with a thriving community.

10. Support groups for men who have sex with men: this list is dedicated to resources/support groups for Gay/Bisexual Men, Transgender Women.
