Can you claim your Vacuum Erection Device through your private health insurance?

How to make a claim for a Vacuum Erection Device through your Private Health Fund:

  1. Customers interested in claiming a Vacurect or other VED from their health funds should contact their respective funds prior to making a purchase in order to ascertain the level of subsidy.

  2. The Vacuum Device you purchase must be medical grade. The Vacurect, which we recommend and supply, is medical grade: click to read the TGA certificate.

  3. You will need an official receipt that states you have paid for the Vacuum Device.

  4. Most health funds also require a letter from your Urologist or GP stating that you require a vacuum erection device for chronic erectile dysfunction following your treatment. Ask for this next time you have a check-up with your Urologist or GP.

PLEASE NOTE: There are many health funds out there with different policies and extras. We cannot guarantee that you will receive a rebate, or how much you will get back. Please check with your individual health fund before making a purchase to see whether you are covered, and what they require to make the claim.
